Trompe l’œil, meaning “to trick the eye,” is the timeless art of using perspective, light, and shadow to create the illusion of depth and texture. This technique transforms walls, ceilings, and even simple objects into portals of imagination — a window opening to a sweeping landscape, a niche adorned with marble, or a grand hallway leading to sunlit gardens.
With decorative painting, the ordinary becomes extraordinary: an entrance may evoke an Egyptian temple, a moonlit seascape, or even a flight above the land of Oz. The only true limit is the imagination.
