Patricia KD was born in France to American parents and was raised in Europe; her parents, art and antique lovers and collectors, took her to museums and art shows from a very young age, but it was Holland and her discovery of the Dutch Golden Age art, and most particularly Trompe l’Oeil, which set her on her artistic path.

She is a French Master Decorative Artist who trained in traditional decorative painting, murals and Trompe l’Oeil in Versailles, graduating with honours. She is continuously perfecting her art through attending workshops with the best decorative artists of our time: Graham Rust, Jean Sablé, Michel Nadaï, Carolina de Ayala Valva… Her art is a combination of traditional and contemporary, often using ancient techniques to reinterpret classical themes with a modern twist.
Patricia believes art should tell a story, be a source of inspiration and wonder to the viewer, and should add value and beauty to one’s surroundings.

She works on commission as well as selling her own art, and her works can be found in such diverse places as Norway, Hawaii, the UK, France, Qatar and the US. She has been teaching workshops and weekly classes for many years and enjoys sharing the tools and techniques that allow her students to create their own unique art.
